Epipremnum Aureum (Pothos)

  • 🌿 Epipremnum aureum (Pothos)

Pothos is a hardy, trailing indoor plant with heart-shaped green leaves, often variegated with yellow, white, or light green. It’s popular because it’s low-maintenance, fast-growing, and thrives in a variety of indoor conditions.

🌱 Care Tips

Light:

  • Prefers bright, indirect light

  • Tolerates low light (growth may slow)

  • Avoid harsh direct sun (can scorch leaves)

Water:

  • Let the top 2–3 cm of soil dry out before watering

  • Don’t let it sit in water (prevents root rot)

Soil:

  • Well-draining indoor potting mix

  • Pot with drainage holes

  • Temperature:

  • Best between 18–30°C

  • Keep away from cold drafts

Feeding:

  • Liquid fertiliser every 4–6 weeks in spring/summer

  • No need to fertilise much in winter

Extra tip:

  • Easy to propagate in water — just snip a vine below a leaf node and place it in water until roots form.

If you’d like, I can also suggest the best variety for your home (golden, marble queen, neon, etc.). 🌿
