Plant of the month
Epipremnum Aureum (Pothos)
Epipremnum aureum (Pothos)
Pothos is a hardy, trailing indoor plant with heart-shaped green leaves, often variegated with yellow, white, or light green. It’s popular because it’s low-maintenance, fast-growing, and thrives in a variety of indoor conditions.
Care Tips
Light:
Prefers bright, indirect light
Tolerates low light (growth may slow)
Avoid harsh direct sun (can scorch leaves)
Water:
Let the top 2–3 cm of soil dry out before watering
Don’t let it sit in water (prevents root rot)
Soil:
Well-draining indoor potting mix
Pot with drainage holes
Temperature:
Best between 18–30°C
Keep away from cold drafts
Feeding:
Liquid fertiliser every 4–6 weeks in spring/summer
No need to fertilise much in winter
Extra tip:
Easy to propagate in water — just snip a vine below a leaf node and place it in water until roots form.
