Grolife Indoor Plantscapes — team and install detail

about grolife indoor plantscapes.

A specialist indoor division of the Grolife group. We design, install, hire and maintain indoor plant scapes, green walls, event activations and home styling for clients across South East Queensland.

Grolife Indoor Plantscapes — the early days
our story

built on a familiar face.

Grolife Indoor Plantscapes was founded in 2021. Cameron Stacey was running operations for his father's business, Sunnydale Green Solutions, when the family decided to retire and sell to a multinational. A lot of long-term clients didn't love the transition — they wanted the familiar face and the same accountable service they'd had for years.

Cameron and his best friend Michael Harding — also ex-Sunnydale — saw the gap and built Grolife Indoor Plantscapes to fill it. Michael is the director and majority owner, and our first big client was the Queensland State Government offices at 1 William Street — the anchor that proved the model worked.

From there the business grew through word of mouth and the relationships built on the landscape side. We now look after over 150 commercial, retail and office clients across Brisbane, the Gold Coast and the Sunshine Coast — A-grade CBD foyers and lobbies through property managers like CBRE, JLL, Knight Frank, Colliers and Savills, plus retail-first shopping centres, spec suites for office fit-out partners, premium home styling agencies, and an events division dressing everything from trade-show booths to the Brisbane International tennis.

Same group as Grolife Landscape Management. Same operating standards. Specialist indoor crew, dedicated inventory, and an in-house design, fabrication, delivery and maintenance team built around indoor work.

what we stand for

three values
we hire, fire and quote by.

We've never been the cheapest, and we don't want to be. We'd rather be the team you trust to do what we said we'd do, every time. The three values below are the lens we run the business through.

value 01

honesty.

If a plant's tired, we tell you. If a green wall won't work in your light levels, we'll talk you out of it. Straight answers, no shiny upsells.

value 02

communication.

You'll know what we're doing, when we're doing it, and what came up while we were there. Every visit logged, every issue flagged the same day.

value 03

reliability.

We turn up when we say we will. We finish what we start. We're still around in twelve months when the warranty comes due.

we listen. we learn. we grow. that’s grolife.

what makes us different

one team, end to end.

Where most plantscaping outfits subcontract the bits they don't want to do, we run almost everything in-house: design, 3D renders, custom planter fabrication, plant sourcing direct from growers, delivery fleet, install crew and ongoing maintenance. One team, one accountable result.

In 2024 we became the first company in Queensland to build an on-site basement greenhouse inside a CBD building — 1 William Street — with heat mats, grow lights and propagation benches. We take cuttings from the building's existing plants and grow their replacements on site. Less stock movement from the nursery, lower freight cost, no new biosecurity risks brought into the building, and a sustainable rotation that fits within the tenancy's existing maintenance budget.

We're now rolling out the same model into multiple A-grade CBD buildings, and starting work on rooftop nurseries that contribute to Green Star and WELL building ratings for our property partners.

where we're heading next.

Heavy expansion into the Gold Coast and Sunshine Coast, where new commercial development is moving fast. Growing focus on aged care, childcare and resort sectors — spaces where good indoor planting changes how people experience the room. And more rooftop and basement nurseries inside the buildings we already look after.
